Caledonia Jazzband

Creole Nights. HCRCD 97, 1997

One of the best recordings with Caledonia Jazzband. Features three of my compositions, the title cut, "Creole Nights", "Trinity Calypso and "River of Tears". Features the australian trumpeter Geoff Bull, related to the painter Knud Bull, brother of famous violin player Ole Bull.

Is you is or is you ain't. HCR 72, 1991

Absolutely the most diverse among Caledonia Jazzband's recording, with New Orleans funk, calypsos, traditional New Orleans hymns and brassband tunes, a little bit of world music and some swing classics. I wrote five of the tunes for that record, "Valse Nuit", "Lickorice Stomp", "The Blue Tree", "Palestina" and "Blessings"

Walkin'. HCR 38, 1987

Recorded in New Orleans after my year long stay there. Features the trumpet and vocal of Wendell Brunious. Some brass band and rythm and blues tunes inbetween the traditional New Orleans stuff. Features one of my compositions, "You"

Moods of New Orleans. HCR 33, 1986

Our debut recording, recorded in a barn close to Sandefjord. Features Wendell Brunious from New Orleans. Also my debut as a composer, with "Freedom Calypso" dedicated to Nelson Mandela and "Listeners Blues" dedicated to all who listens.
